What did you do to get started freelancing?
When I first started doing freelance, I actually did a lot of work for free! I was still getting some of my skills in tune and learning the ins and outs of the programs I use. I also didn’t have much of a portfolio that related to the real world instead of just my work from school. So, I decided I would do some cheap and even free work until I beefed up the portfolio and was able to show my capabilities properly. I did work for my church, for friends and family, and for non-profit groups as donation. It was a great way to not only get my portfolio in order, but also help out those around me.
