To Live By
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’ve had many people ask me if it was scary to go out on my own and start working for myself. This may get a little dicey with non-believers out there, but no, it wasn’t scary at all. I knew it was a calling from God and I trusted that He would provide for me.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Before I made the leap, I was certainly having trust issues. I didn’t want to jump out and do it because I had a nice, steady job that was consistent. It took a lot of prayer, soul searching, and scripture to finally get me to a place of peace. So, when I finally made that leap of faith, it was no longer scary or threatening.
Scripture doesn’t lie. God will always provide. Each time I start to think I’m getting a little low on projects, I pray. Little projects start trickling in and before I know it, I have a full schedule again, bursting at the seams.
I know most people don’t care to hear these types of stories and certainly don’t believe them, but you should know it’s true. If you don’t believe me, give it a shot yourself. Truly trust God to provide for you and watch what He does.
